I usually don't believe anything ever printed on MediaTakeOut.com. In fact, I usually call it by a more fitting name: Media Fake Out.
One of their newest articles focuses on a tip they heard from a Kardashian insider, who says that the wedding Sunday is not for Khloe and Lamar -- it is actually a wedding for Kourtney and Douchey Scott. Why would they do this, MTO asks? They claim it is purely for publicity reasons, and that the public doesn't seem to like Douchey Scott. Well, they definitely have the last reason right.
So what do you think? Is this a set up, shotgun wedding for Kourtney and Douchey Scott, who should be expecting a baby in 2 months? Or will Khloe and Lamar run down the aisle?

Sorry guys..
Due to a scheduling conflict, aka a friend holding a birthday get-together at his apartment shortly, I will not be able to liveblog the Biggest Loser. Until next week!
Additionally, Khloe Kardashian's rep has in fact confirmed the rumors - she will wed Lamar Odom on Sunday.
Labels:

Quick note
I also wanted to say that if my readers have any questions, comments, or suggestions, I strongly urge you to contact me. You can do so by leaving a comment, which are moderated. Additionally, you may email me at realityreviewed at gmail dot com.
I will be liveblogging The Biggest Loser tonight at 8 p.m. EST. Unfortunately, my DVR has still not arrived :( Expect less play-by-play and more commentary tonight. Trying out some new things never hurt no one. I will try and post opinions on Jon and Kate Gosselin later.

Khloe Kardashian to get hitched?!
I love gossip, but I usually take it with a grain of salt when it comes to bloggers that may not be ultra reliable. However, when People.com reports on it, that's when I see it as more legitimate than just gossip. Word on the street, according to multiple media outlets, is that Khloe Kardashian of Kim-Kardashian's-sister fame, is marrying month-long lover Lamar Odom of the L.A. Lakers.
That's right. They've been dating for one month.
Uno mas.
30-31 days.
....And they're getting married this SUNDAY!?
Stranger things have happened (Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy dating and fame-whoring their relationship comes to mind), but this just is a little ridiculous. For instance, anyone watching Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami on VH1 knows that Khloe has some serious problems concerning trusting men and has troubles with basketball players in general.
I would automatically assume that a month-long relationship turned into marriage would mean she's knocked up, but I don't think the Kardashians swing that way, because if so, Kourtney would already be married to douchey Scott, considering she's nearly 7 months pregnant and looking absolutely gorgeous! I mean, I guess we'll all find out Sunday if Khloe is really getting hitched or not.. my guess, because her statement is "I cannot confirm or deny..." she really could be. Reality Reviewed officially wishes her and Lamar Odom the best, and is taking bets on how long it could last. Readers.. do you choose over/under on a year?

MTV is casting for new reality shows and True Life
Stumbling around the not-so-easy MTV website, I searched and found that MTV is doing a casting call for several new reality shows and also casting for their True Life series, which follows a few people around who all have a similar trait and combines it all into a 1-hour episode. Some True Life episodes have been True Life: I'm getting married and True Life: I'm in an interracial relationship.
Seems like MTV is fishing for new True Life "reality stars." According to their website, they have some episodes they want to do but are missing a key component: the people who fit the quota. Here are the descriptions, with information on whom to contact if you fit the description:
TRUE LIFE: I'm Clashing With My Parents
Do your parents think you are dating someone too old? Do you hate who YOUR parent is dating? Is there a money clash? A clash over your sexual identity? A clash over your job or schooling or way of life in general?
If you are going through any of these or any other clashes with your parent(s) and live with them, MTV wants to hear from you!
If you appear to be between the ages of 16 and 28 then email us at parents@mtvnmix.com and tell us as much about your situation as possible. Also, please be sure to include your name, location, and phone number.
TRUE LIFE: I CAN'T DISCONNECT

Have text messages or facebook messages/wall posts/comments ever started fights or rumors offline? Is your boyfriend/girlfriend ever paranoid that you are cheating on them because you talk to people online that they can't control? Have you ever given your password to a boyfriend or girlfriend so that they could monitor who you are friends with? Have they ever checked your cell phone to read your text messages?
If you appear to be between the ages of 16-28, find yourself constantly connected to the point where it is complicating your life, and would like to share your story, MTV wants to hear from you! Email us at disconnect@mtvn.com and tell us as much about your situation as possible. Also, please be sure to include your name, location, phone number, and photo.

TRUE LIFE: I'M DATING OUTSIDE THE MAINSTREAM
Are you dating someone who lives outside the mainstream? Does your boyfriend or girlfriend belong to an alternative group or an unusual subculture that you're not a part of? Is there friction in your relationship because of your differences? Are you facing disapproval from friends and family who think your significant other's lifestyle is strange? Or maybe you are the one who is dating someone outside of your unique group. Do you find it difficult to connect with your boyfriend or girlfriend when they don't share your interests or your lifestyle? Or perhaps you both belong to contrasting social groups and the two of you have no common ground. If you are having trouble merging your radically different lives in a relationship, MTV wants to hear from you.

Are you dating someone from an entirely different crowd and find that it causes friction in your relationship? Do either of you feel out of place when you're around the other's friends? Do your respective groups object to you as a couple?
Maybe you have very different lifestyles, making it difficult to socialize together. Perhaps one of you is part of a clique or subculture from which the other feels excluded. Maybe the two of you are from opposite economic classes or have different social status. Or is there a large age gap making it awkward to be around each other's friends and family? Are you dating a "cougar"? How does a relationship with an older woman impact your life socially and economically? Does it cause conflict or invite gossip within your circle of friends? Is it hard to relate to each other because of differing life experiences? Are you wondering if the passion you feel is worth the trade-off for a less active social life with people your own age? Is your cougar accustomed to the finer things in life which you may not be able to afford? If you're dealing with the difficulties of dating a cougar, MTV is interested in hearing from you.
If you appear to be between the ages of 18-25 and would like to share your story, email us at Cougar@mtvn.com and tell us about your relationship. Be sure to include your name, location, phone number and recent photo of you and your significant other.

TRUE LIFE: I'M DATING SOMEONE FROM A DIFFERENT SOCIAL CLASS
Disparities in money and social standing usually keep us apart, but what happens when the person you're dating is from a different class? This episode of True Life will explore how contrasting socio-economic circumstances affect your relationship. What kinds of pressures and problems do you encounter due to the economic differences between your communities? Maybe you and your friends are struggling to get by, while your significant other is from the privileged crowd. Or perhaps you and your peers have a higher social status than the person you're dating. Do your friends think you shouldn't be together? TRUE LIFE: I'M RACIST
Would you ever openly admit to being a racist? Were you brought up to believe that people with skin colors other than your own are inferior? Do you hang out only with people of your own race? Do you feel that the country would be a better place if people from each race would just stick to their own? Do you treat people from other races differently from how you treat people who look like yourself? Do people look down on you because you make racial statements you didn't even realize were offensive? Is being perceived as a racist standing in the way of a goal, a job, or a relationship?
Or.... Do you have a friend, boyfriend/girlfriend, or family member who is racist? Does the way they feel about a race affect your life and you'd like to try and do something about it? Does the fact that they are racist affect your relationship to them?
If you appear to be between the ages of 17 and 27 and can relate to any of the above questions, please send an email to Racist@mtvn.com with your story. Please include your name, location, phone number, and a photo.
TRUE LIFE: I'M HAVING MAJOR SURGERY

If you or someone you love has experienced memory loss and has been diagnosed with amnesia, MTV wants to hear your story.
If you appear between the ages of 16 and 28 and would like to share your story, please email MTV at truelife@lintonmedia.com with the details of your battle with amnesia. Please be sure to include your name, location, phone number, and a recent photo.
True Life: I'm Homeschooled
Over a million American young people are home-schooled. But for those of us who aren¹t, home-schooled kids can seem mysterious, and what we don¹t know about them we fill in with myths and stereotypes. On this episode of ³True Life,² we¹ll show what it¹s really like to be home-schooled -- the good and the bad -- and we¹ll help break some of those myths and stereotypes.
Are you or a friend home-schooled and have a great story to tell? Do you have a particularly interesting home-schooling situation that you just wish everyone could see? Or maybe you¹re having trouble getting into the college of your dreams because your class rank is ³1 out of 1²? Are you going to a homeschool prom? Are you about to start or stop homeschooling?
If you appear to be between the ages of 14 and 18 and can relate to any of the above questions, please send an e-mail to tlhomeschool@gmail.com. Please describe your homeschooling story and include your name, location, phone number, e-mail address and a photo.
TRUE LIFE: I DON'T LIKE MY FACE
When you look in the mirror do you hate what you see? Do you dislike a specific feature or are you simply unhappy with your entire face? Whether you were born this way or something happened to alter your appearance, does this discomfort cause you a lot of stress as you make your way through life? Are you taking steps to remedy what you see or looking for a way to accept yourself on a deeper level? Are you planning on doing cosmetic surgery, therapy, or another alternative treatment to address this issue and are ready to share your journey?
If you appear to be between the ages of 16 and 28 and have an interesting story to tell about disliking your face, we'd love to hear from you at face@mtvn.com. Please include your name, location, phone number and a recent photo of yourself.
If there is one that especially sticks out, it is True Life: I'm A Racist. I've been on this casting website over a year ago, and I remember seeing the same post. Apparently they're having trouble finding people willing to admit they're racist and OK with airing their racist views on television. I can only imagine the ridiculous backlash.
There are other specifics that MTV is looking for, but they don't say what show it's for:
There is no way on hell I would ever put my grandparents on MTV. First, I'd have to explain what MTV is... and that's just annoying in itself. This is a truly awful concept, MTV, and I must say, you did come out with A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila, and that's saying something. Here's another:
Have you had a mishap or two behind the wheel, but are now an improved driver? Do your friends and family still have doubts about your driving skills and you want to prove them wrong?
MTV wants to hear your story and you could appear in a new reality series, plus win tickets to the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards! If you are a high school student interested in this opportunity, please send your name, photo and contact info along with why you want to prove your driving skills to Castme@mtvu.com
That's another truly awful concept. It wouldn't even be interesting to watch!
Seems like MTV is fishing for new True Life "reality stars." According to their website, they have some episodes they want to do but are missing a key component: the people who fit the quota. Here are the descriptions, with information on whom to contact if you fit the description:

Are your grandparents a riot? Do they say funny and crazy things or give the whackiest advice? Then MTV wants to hear from you!
Please send us an email telling us a little about your grandparent along with a photo of them and your contact info to mtvcasting2009@live.com Be prepared to send us a video.
Please send us an email telling us a little about your grandparent along with a photo of them and your contact info to mtvcasting2009@live.com Be prepared to send us a video.

Liveblogging season premiere of The Biggest Loser
9:58 p.m. -- She lost 60 pounds since the time she was sent home. Alexandra looks amazing. Thus ends my live-blogging for the night -- I need to shower and get ready for work tomorrow. Hope everyone enjoyed this!
9:56 p.m. -- Alexandra goes home. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
9:51 p.m. -- Unfortunate that it came down to the last team - the Red team - to decide who goes home and who stays. There's 9 minutes left and I thought maybe in this time they'd bring back Tracey, but instead they just cut to a commercial.
9:46 p.m. -- I'm zoning out while Alexandra and Julio are pleading with the other contestants their cases for staying. Deliberations begin.
9:42 p.m. -- My butt's beginning to hurt from sitting so long in one spot on the couch with my laptop. "Coach Mo" lost 19 pounds, 5.35% weight loss on his own. The Black team is up for elimination this week. I wouldn't be sad to see either of them go.
9:38 p.m. -- The Black team is up. Alexandra and Julio lose a combined 26 pounds. Alexandra says she thought Julio would have put up a higher number. They both lost the same amount of weight, but Julio weighs 100 pounds more than Alexandra. I don't blame her for being pissed, I would be too. But, they all are in the same position. They're all fat and need to lose weight. No one should be blaming another this early on, because if they ate healthy and worked out they probably wouldn't weigh as much as they do now.
9:32 p.m. -- It was good shocking looks on their faces, as the Red team - Antoine and Sean - lost a combined 40 pounds, 4.93% weight loss. The Brown team is up, which I'm calling the older-people team. Liz the grandma lost 10 pounds, and Danny lost 24 pounds, combined percentage weight-loss of 4.88%. I love Liz. But I can't get over her being a grandmother before age 50! The Green team, Allen and Abby, go up and lose a combined 34 pounds and 5.94% weight loss. Abby starts crying again and... are those tears I see Jillian crying? Abby is making sure that every Wednesday morning I will have red-rimmed eyes. Bob looks shocked to see Jillian crying. I'm a little surprised too, but Jillian is human.
9:22 p.m. -- It's weigh in time, and Tracey is still in the hospital. Mo will be weighed by himself. The Orange team is up first. Daniel went from 312 to 300, and Shay went from 476 to 459. In total, they lost 29 pounds. Because Daniel won immunity, they're safe from elimination. The Pink team is up next. Amanda went from 250 to 244, and Rebecca went from 279 to 261. They lost 24 pounds together, with a percentage weight loss of 4.54%. Blue team next: Rudy went from 442 to 414 (losing 28 pounds), Dina lost eight pounds, total loss of 36 pounds with a percentage weight loss of 5.18%. Black team goes up and they hide the results, but show shocked faces of the contestants looking at the weigh scores. Commercial.
9:18 p.m. -- It's commercial time, wait, no it's not. Alison and the trainers hawk Brita filtered water.
9:15 p.m. -- Sean breaks down. He looks like he's more upset about having diabetes than he is about weighing so much. Jillian says to Black-shirted Alexandra, "Fuck 'ow'." Great quotes from the trainers this season premiere. I'm getting a little sick of the sob stories and only feel bad for Abby and the pain she had losing her entire family.
9:13 p.m. -- My internet just decided to spaz out on me right as Jillian was calling everyone her bitch.. I wish I could have gotten some direct quotes. She yells at Black-shirthed Julio. Still no sign of Purple team Tracey.
9:06 p.m. -- Shay's body is over 57 percent fat. Her biological age is 45, and her real age is 29. Shay says her mother died at age 48. This show is flying by, commercial time.
9:03 p.m. -- The contestants travel to a California health institute to be evaluated, and also to be researched about obesity. All weird-looking machines, and people's arteries being ultra-sounded. Sean (Red team) is told he has Type-2 diabetes, which he didn't think he had. Mo's biological age is calculated at 69, which is 11 years his real age.
9:00 p.m. -- Shay decides to walk back in and immediately repremanded by Jillian, who says "if you quit on me one more time you're going home." Good to see Jillian take no prisoners, as usual. Shay completes the 20 seconds on that ladder treadmill. Back at home, Mo, the 58 year old coach on the Purple team, arrives back from the hospital. He says he was dehydrated amongst other things. Tracey is still in the hospital.
8:53 p.m. -- The Jillian-screaming-amazingness begins. Shay deserves to be yelled at, 476 pounds for a 30 year old woman is unacceptable. Bob gets into scream-mode too, yelling at Shay and swearing. Shay walks out of the gym after refusing to use a ladder treadmill for another 20 seconds.
8:50 p.m. -- And the workouts begin, along with the product promotion. The first one is for 24hour fitness band-type-thing. Jillian announces the contestants will be training with both trainers this season. No sign of the missing Purple team.
8:49 p.m. -- Bob goes, "Oh my god, this girl is big." He also says Daniel has the perfect teammate right now, or vice versa. Shay is 30 years old.
8:41 p.m. -- The first reveal of Bob and Jillian since the show began 41 minutes ago! The weigh-in to begin. Pink team is up first - Amanda weighs 250, Rebecca weighs 279 with a combined total of 529 pounds. Green team next - Allen weighs 325, Abby weighs 247, combined weight of 572. Everyone else flies by... DVR PLEASE!! Orange team is next, Shay and Daniel. Daniel wears 312, Shay weighs 476 pounds, with a total 788. She starts crying, and then the show goes to a commercial.
8:38 p.m. -- Time for everyone to pair up. Daniel is first and chooses Shay. I love Daniel, he is such a sweetheart. Allen, the firefighter, chooses Abby for his partner. Amanda chooses Rebecca for her partner, they become the pink team. I've fallen behind! Alexandra chooses Julio, the last one picked. I'm assuming the two people from the hospital - and I'm right - will be Team Purple. Alison says the weigh-in is about to begin. I really need a DVR.
8:31 p.m. -- The first person to discuss is a man who is a firefighter/EMT who discussed his pain on being too exhausted to help Tracey (the woman who collapsed) and how it hurt him. There'a former college football player who continued adding on pounds after college ended. Rebecca laments about being called fat "all her life but being told she has a pretty face." Another woman, Shay, has a mother who was a heroin addict - this is also the woman who is supposed to be the heaviest contestant on The Biggest Loser ever - taking Daniel's title from last season. Another man talks about his family, he didn't say his name. Abby has probably the saddest story - she lost her entire family (her 2 1/2 week son, 5 year old daughter, and husband) in a car accident. Tears in my eyes, and other contestants are either crying or trying not to cry. "Abby's story just punched me right in the face," Sean, the youth pastor, says in a confessional. Another commercial. Mr. RR asks if I need tissues.
8:30 p.m. -- Alison tells the contestants the other two that were taken to the hospital are now resting comfortably at the hospital and are well. They aren't out of the competition. She tells the remaining contestants, in a very zen
8:25 p.m. -- Contestants all raise a similar point - this could have easily have been them laying on the stretcher being loaded into a medflight. And... another commercial. Time to eat popcorn!
8:23 p.m. -- Close to tears watching blue-shirt mom trying hard to move and many contestants accompany her over the finishing line... where she falls to the ground completely. This is the same woman who was almost sprinting at the beginning of the race. She's become completely pale. I'm no doctor... but she does not look good at all.
8:21 p.m. -- Daniel wins, finishing in shortly under 15 minutes. Others begin trickling in after the 15 minute mark. A mother in a light blue shirt falls to the ground and begins crawling on all fours. Another contestant, a man in a black shirt, is getting oxygen. The blue-shirt mom refuses to give up and doesn't look good.
8:19 p.m. -- It's sad that after only a few seconds of light jogging most competitors have begun walking and panting, or completely stopping. Shay, a social worker, says she is a size 32 and "spilling out of that."
8:18 p.m. -- Challenge reward is immunity and to pick their own partner? Sounds like a deal. And begin running.. NOW!
8:16 p.m. -- The surprise person is Daniel from last season! He comes out of the car dressed in his orange shirt. Alison says he is the official sixteenth player. He weighed 454 pounds when he arrived last season -- the heaviest person ever on The Biggest Loser - until tonight!
8:15 p.m. -- Mr. RR and I took the commercial break to argue over if we should make popcorn for a snack during the show or eat pringles. Over a short debate... we decided on popcorn. I don't know what it is about this show that makes me want to eat.
8:12 p.m. -- One more surprise? Someone's driving up in a black car. Everyone screams... aaaaaand commercial!
8:10 p.m. -- They all run off the bus. Mr. RR goes, "They're all out of breath." They're showing clips from the marathon from last season's episode. Alison says they will be literally following in their footsteps - doing the last, final mile of the marathon from last season on the beach.
8:08 p.m. -- Alison, the host, lost all the baby weight from last season! If she can do it... everyone else can, too.
8:06 p.m. -- When you can't fit in a college seat, that's when you know you have a problem. Danny (green-shirted musician) looked very thin in his younger days. I'm amazed the grandmother on the show is only 49 years old.
8:04 p.m. -- I could do without the vomit shots, thx.
8:03 p.m. -- Is it bad that the first time I saw the helicopter rescuing the girl who couldn't breathe I was worried the helicopter would crash because she was so heavy?
8:02 p.m. -- Daniel's back from last season! I feel bad that he had a partner last year who really didn't care about working out as much as Daniel did. Hopefully, without all that dead weight (pun very much intended) Daniel will do better. Jillian scares the shit out of me... looks like more crying from contestants this season.
8:00 p.m. -- We're about to begin!! I'm almost excited enough to count all the product placement shoutouts they give on this show. I admit, I watched this show for the first time only last season.
Hello world!
Hello fellow reality television lovers! Or perhaps not, but I'd assume that you're here reading this because, like me, you enjoy reality television. Because I am a writer, and because I watch more reality television than any other type of show, combining the two together - my love of tv and my love of writing - led to the creation of this blog.
I hope to focus on reviews (as the title suggests), not to be confused with recaps (which I will also try to do, preferably live-blogging), and also post gossip I hear about reality television shows or characters. When I live-blog, keep in mind that I am in Boston - i.e., Eastern Standard Time. You've been warned :)
Some of my favorite shows that I will definitely be focusing on are Jon and Kate plus 8, The Biggest Loser, the Hills (although I am aware that it is scripted...), Project Runway, the Amazing Race, 18 Kids and Counting, and as many VH1 love shows as possible, and MORE! Also, one of my absolute favorite television shows is not reality, which is Gossip Girl - so I may post about that, too.
Tonight, in a new post, I will be live-blogging the season premiere of The Biggest Loser. The Biggest Loser is going into its 8th season! That's amazing. I also have convinced my boyfriend, who I can and will refer to as Mr. RR, that we are in dire need of a DVR, which will arrive eventually.
I hope you all enjoy this blog, please feel free to email me (link's in my profile) and leave comments or suggestions!
